I believe \u2013 as does everyone who works here \u2013 that this project is going to be great for York Region.<\/p>\n<p>We thought people in York Region might find it interesting and reassuring to meet some of the professionals who are part of the <a title=\"Hwy 7 East rapidways project info\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vivanext.com\/highway7_markham\" target=\"_blank\">vivaNext Highway 7 East rapidway project<\/a>, and to hear what those individuals personally hope to achieve through their own work. This is the thinking behind our \u201cPledge\u201d campaign, which you may have seen in <a title=\"Pledge campaign poster\" href=\"http:\/\/vivanext.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/08\/PledgeCampaign_11x17poster.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">posters<\/a>\u00a0or <a title=\"behind-the-scenes Pledge campaign video\" href=\"http:\/\/youtu.be\/cMHoJzp5TR0\" target=\"_blank\">video<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The pledge campaign is our commitment to the community \u2013 that our design will reflect state-of-the-art technology and transit planning and that it will incorporate detailed urban design elements for <a title=\"renderings of rapidway streetscapes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vivanext.com\/assets\/files\/pastConsultations\/March_23_2011\/AttractiveWelcomingStreetscapes.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">beautiful and welcoming streetscapes<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Our construction project will be carefully planned and implemented to minimize disruption as much as possible, and to time the noise and delays for the least inconvenience for commuters, businesses and residents.<\/p>\n<p>We are committed to being careful stewards of the natural environment while we work, to ensure we cause no harm to vegetation, fish or wildlife through the construction project.<\/p>\n<p>And last but not least, we will be transparent and open in providing <a title=\"Hwy 7 East construction bulletins\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vivanext.com\/930\" target=\"_blank\">all the information people need<\/a> while construction is underway. We will be available to anyone who has a question, comment or concern, through our <a title=\"contact our Community Liaisons\" href=\"http:\/\/www.vivanext.com\/community_liaison\" target=\"_blank\">Community Liaison, Nimisha Raja<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>All of us working on vivaNext, whether we\u2019re named in the campaign or not, are personally and professionally proud to be a part of building this state-of-the-art rapid transit system.
