{"id":274,"date":"2009-05-12T14:44:17","date_gmt":"2009-05-12T19:44:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vivanext.com\/blog\/?p=274"},"modified":"2010-04-19T09:06:28","modified_gmt":"2010-04-19T14:06:28","slug":"don%e2%80%99t-risk-it-take-transit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yrrtc.ca\/blog\/2009\/05\/12\/don%e2%80%99t-risk-it-take-transit\/","title":{"rendered":"Don\u2019t risk it, take transit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"New DUI laws\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yorkregion.com\/article\/91181\" target=\"_blank\">Tough new drinking and driving laws<\/a> recently went into effect giving people an even greater reason to take public transit.<\/p>\n<p>The tougher penalties mean increasing fines and suspensions for anyone driving under the influence.<\/p>\n<p>Why risk lives when there\u2019s a simple, easy and safe alternative \u2013 public transit. Keeping people from driving after they have been drinking alcohol is critical to keeping our roads safe.<\/p>\n<p>As OPP Sgt.
