It\u2019s called \u201cforest bathing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Forest bathing is simple and elegant: being in the presence of trees. An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2017\/03\/the-japanese-practice-of-forest-bathing-is-scientificially-proven-to-be-good-for-you\/\">article from World Economic Forum<\/a> suggests, \u201cJust be with trees. No hiking, no counting steps on a Fitbit. You can sit or meander, but the point is to relax rather than accomplish anything.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We heartily support this idea! Each vivaNext project involves adding trees and greenery to the streetscape because it creates a more livable community. In addition, there\u2019s evidence to show that this actually does help to create a <a href=\"http:\/\/yrrtc.ca\/2015\/07\/15\/trees-do-make-you-healthier\/\">healthier environment<\/a> for the community\u2019s citizens.<\/p>\n<p>The experiments conducted by Japan\u2019s Chiba University studied the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/pubmed\/19568835\">effects of forest environments<\/a> on the body.
