Highway 7 East / Bayview to Warden

Our first Bus Rapid Transit [BRT] segment now opened for service along Highway 7 East in segments from 2013-2015, making it easier for everyone to get around in Richmond Hill and Markham.

Once it opened, the benefits showed in the numbers: more riders, faster travel times and fewer collisions along this six-kilometre segment of Highway 7 from Bayview Avenue to Warden Avenue. This was just the first of several BRT projects funded by the Province of Ontario through Metrolinx [see funding info in the final news release].
