Open House Information
As York Region continues to grow, it’s essential to keep our communities connected and moving forward - with rapid transit along Jane Street, from Highway 7 to Major Mackenzie Drive in Vaughan. Today, this busy corridor experiences some of the highest transit ridership in the Region.
York Region Rapid Transit Corporation is following the Transit and Rail Project Assessment Process (TRPAP) for rapid transit along Jane Street, from Highway 7 to Major Mackenzie Drive. This is a streamlined Environmental Assessment (EA) process for transit and rail projects.
The project, which began EA and preliminary planning work in January 2025, hosted the first Open House on May 22, 2025. If you couldn't attend, you can still review the Open House #1 Presentation Boards and share your input by completing the project feedback form.
